AMES Memory
One of my many memorable times at AMES was during the First FRC Robotic kickoff and brainstorm day. I remember going to Hillcrest high school early in the morning, I had been told the entire pre-season by older team members that this was when things got intense and I would have no life. I didn't know what to expect but was excited for what was to come. The years game was called Aerial Assist which was a game involving the robots shooting yoga balls into high goals. As soon as the video unveiling the game was over we broke into teams and immediately started discussing strategy for that years game. I remember just being in a circle of people that accepted you for who you were discussing different methods of launching three foot diameter balls twelve feet into the air. This was when I really knew that I belonged at AMES and that I would dedicate myself to robotics.
